I linked arms with Society Vice-President Vivian Wadlin. We both wear antique hats once worn by Trapps
residents Anna (nee Enderly) and Edward Hayes. Their granddaughter, Joan Hayes Wustrau, lent Anna's
feathered hat and Edward's bowler hat for Robi's programs. Hats off to you, Joan, for such a gracious and generous offer!
Robi taught a four week course on Shawangunk Mountain history for the Lifetime Learning Institute, an adult enrichment program at SUNY New Paltz, in Fall 2015.
Thumbs up for the Lifetime Learning Institute!
A field trip to Mohonk Preserve's Coxing Trailhead to learn about the old Enderly family farm and sawmill that once existed on the site. Thank you to the Mohonk Preserve for permission to bring the class to this historic site in the Shawangunks.
The class was thrilled to meet Bob Larsen, Robi's mentor and Trapps book co-author, who joined them for the field trip.
The class gathers on the bridge over a stream called the Coxing Kill.
This waterfall on the Coxing Kill was the site of a 19th century mill and today is a po;ular swimming hole called Split Rock.
